Haringey have won the 2014 Schools Shield at the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games schools finals, beating last year's winners Wandsworth in second.
The seven month long competition came to its climax on April 1 and 2, with Haringey beating 32 other London Boroughs to triumph at the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace.
Thomas More Roman Catholic School won the year seven female sportshall athletics and Alexandra Park School came third in the key stage three badminton male event to help Haringey clinch the Shield title.
With 1600 schools competing across 30 events, the win is no mean feat for Haringey, who have also enjoyed success on the basketball court, where the Greig City Academy finished in first and second place respectively in the girl's Under-16 and Under-14 competitions.
Success in the Schools Shield triumph marks a continued rise for Haringey at the London Youth Games after collecting the Most Improved Award last year for leaping nine places to eighth in the 2013 London Youth Games Jubilee Trophy standings.
