Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has been omitted from Spain’s 30 man provisional World Cup squad.
Soldado has struggled in his first season at White Hart Lane scoring 11 goals in all competitions and has failed to leave a lasting impression on Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque.
The Spurs forward featured in Spain’s Confederations cup squad last summer, but has fallen out of favour with Del Bosque, who has opted with other Premier League-based strikers Fernando Torres and Alvaro Negredo.
