Hugo Lloris have committed his future to Tottenham Hotspur by agreeing a five-year deal to remain at White Hart Lane.

Lloris, 27, has been heavily-linked with a move away from the club this summer, as one of the few players to emerge from last season with any credit.

“I spoke with the chairman and I know the club is as ambitious as ever," Lloris told the club's website. “It’s very important to feel at home at a club and for my family to feel well. I enjoy a great relationship with the club and the fans.

"The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino is important as well. I have a good feeling with him. He is also ambitious.

The French international added: "Everything is clear in my head and if I’ve signed a new contract it’s because I trust the club and I’m sure we will progress in a positive way."

Lloris has recently returned from the World Cup with France, where he helped Les Bleus to the quarter-finals, where they were knocked out by finalists Germany.

Signed from Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2012, Lloris has made 78 appearances for Spurs in two seasons in North London.
