Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking to raid his former club by turning his attention to Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the Daily Mirror.
It is understood Schneiderlin, also admired by Arsenal, would favour a move to White Hart Line in order to team up again with former Saints boss Pochettino.
The defensive midfielder was given a call-up to France’s World Cup squad after a fine showing of form for Southampton last season.
Schneiderlin, 24, still has three years of his contract remaining but is keen to follow the likes of Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Rickie Lambert out of St Mary’s this summer, with Spurs his likely destination.
