Haringey Borough moved nine points clear at the top of the Essex Premier Division after a 2-0 victory at Sawbridgeworth Town on Saturday.
The visitors were arguably fortunate to be ahead at the break through Daniel Aristidou’s volley into the top corner.
There were a few hairy moments for Boro’s defence as they found it difficult against direct opponents.
But Haringey improved considerably in the second period and were rewarded with another goal.
Dean Fenton fired home from ten yards out to seal the points for Boro.
