The Boat Race is this weekend
Former Lea Rowing Club member Maddy Badcott will compete for Oxford University in tomorrow’s Boat Race.
The 19-year-old, who is one of the youngest members of the Oxford crew, started rowing with the club based at Spring Hill Park, in 2009.
Teenager Badcott said: “I definitely still consider myself a member of the Lea.
“I am so grateful for all the support I’ve been given over the years from the wonderful people at the club and am proud to have grown up on the water there.”
