Tottenham Hotspur duo Mousa Dembele and Andros Townsend are fit to face Stoke City on Saturday but Ben Davies and Kyle Walker remain sidelined.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to the Britannia Stadium looking to bounce back from Sunday’s 1-0 loss at home to Manchester City in the Premier League.

And the Argentine head coach will be boosted by the return of Dembele and Townsend who missed the defeat by the Citizens with thigh and foot injuries respectively.

However, full-backs Davies (shoulder) and Walker (foot) will not be available for the trip to Staffordshire.

Victory would see Spurs draw level with fifth-placed Liverpool until Sunday at least, with the Reds making the trip to champions Chelsea in the day’s late kick-off.

Brendan Rodgers’ side do boast a better goal difference than Spurs, though, meaning unless Pochettino’s men win by seven clear goals against the Potters they will remain sixth even with maximum points.

Stoke are currently tenth in the Premier League under Mark Hughes and just three points shy of last season’s points total – their highest since reaching the top flight in 2008.

However, their progress has stalled somewhat in recent weeks with just one win in seven – that coming against surprise package Southampton last month.

Utility man Geoff Cameron is expected to recover from a hamstring problem in time to feature whilst Victor Moses (hamstring) and Bojan Krkic (ACL) are both long-term absentees.
