Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor wants to stay at White Hart Lane despite a poor season last term.
The 31-year-old scored just twice for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Premier League and was granted compassionate leave, citing family issues, twice.
But despite speculation linking the Togolese forward with a move elsewhere, he has remained insistent on staying at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “I have one year left [on my contract] and I am very happy with Tottenham.
“My season wasn’t good. There were a lot of ups and downs – injuries, family issues – but right now I’m putting all of them behind me.”
Crystal Palace have reportedly expressed an interest in the ex-Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid man.
