Brazil international Paulinho has left Tottenham Hotspur to join Guangzhou Evergrande FC, with the Chinese club confirming the move via Twitter.
Paulinho joined Spurs for £17 million from Corinthians in the summer of 2013 and was one of a number of unsuccessful signings funded by the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
Despite his hefty price tag, the Brazilian struggled to impress during his 45 league appearances at White Hart Lane and is one of a number of players head coach Mauricio Pochettino was understood to be keen to get rid of.
It is believed the 26-year-old will cost the Chinese Super League side £9.8 million having previously been linked with a switch to Premier League new-boys Watford. He joins on a four-year contract.

Paulinho made 67 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, scoring ten times. He was initially the club's record signing but was superseded by Roberto Soldado and then Erik Lamela, both of whom could follow him out of the club this summer.
