Tottenham Hotspur have put a £15 million price-tag on midfielder Mousa Dembele in order to ward off interest from Premier League rivals Sunderland.

The 28-year-old started just ten Premier League games last term as he struggled to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI.

Dembele had difficulty starting games after youngsters Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason formed a formidable partnership in the middle of the Tottenham midfield.

Sunderland are reportedly lining up a bid for Dembele who signed for Spurs three years ago from Fulham. West Ham United and Chelsea are also thought to be interested in the former Fulham man’s signature.

Spurs chairman Levy has made it clear that he wants to keep Dembele and will not let him leave for anything less than the £15 million price tag.

The Belgium midfielder has two years left on his contract and now looks likely to remain at White Hart Lane this summer.
