West Bromwich Albion are reportedly ready to step up their chase to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio, who is valued at £6 million by Spurs.
The Argentine defender, who has three caps for his country, struggled to maintain a starting place in Mauricio Pochettino’s team last season as he featured just 14 times in the Premier League.
Fazio, who signed for Spurs just over a year ago for £8 million from Sevilla, is looking for regular first-team football and has slipped further down the pecking order at Spurs after they signed defensive pair Kevin Wimmer and Toby Alderweireld.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is believed to be a big fan of the 6ft 5in centre-back and according to the Birmingham Mail is looking to add to his defence after the Baggies' 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Monday night.
