Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a home draw against north London rivals Arsenal in the third round of the League Cup.
The draw was made last night following the completion of the evening's second round ties and will see Mauricio Pochettino's side pit their wits against the Gunners.
Spurs last met Arsenal in the 2010/11 League Cup with Arsene Wenger's men running out 4-1 winners at White Hart Lane in extra time.
Robbie Keane had cancelled out Henri Lansbury's opener before extra-time strikers from Samir Nasri (2) and Andrei Arshavin turned the game on its head during the first additional period.
Prior to that, Spurs won 6-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals of the 2007/08 competition en-route to winning the final 2-1 against Chelsea.
The exact date has yet to be concerned but the game will take place during the week commencing Monday, September 21.
