VALENCIA have denied reports linking them with a move for Tottenham right-back Pascal Chimbonda.
It had been claimed that the Spanish side were preparing to pay £8 million for the Frenchman.
But the club's sporting director Juan Sanchez has refuted any claims over a deal.
Sanchez told Spanish newspaper Marca that the club had made 'no move at all' for Chimbonda.
The 29-year-old is still expected to depart White Hart Lane this summer after he fell behind Alan Hutton in the fight for the right-back role.
Last month his agent had told Sky Sports News that the north London club would be prepared to sell the versatile defender for £2 million.
This attracted the attention of German side Hamburg and Chimbonda could still make a switch to the Bundesliga where his previous boss at Spurs, Martin Jol, is currently in charge.
