SPURS boss Harry Redknapp hailed unsettled Roman Pavlyuchenko for his brace in today's 3-0 win.
The Russian struck with two late goals to secure victory for Spurs against Wigan Athletic.
The win means Spurs take fourth spot, above Manchester City on goals scored.
"I've always said he has got great ability. When he wants to work and give everything, he's a top quality player" said Redknapp afterwards.
Pavlyuchenko told a magazine in his native Russia this week of his White Hart Lane woes.
Meanwhile, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez was left to fume over jermain Defoe's 27th minute opener, his 22nd of the campaign which brought him equal with his best-ever season tally.
Defoe was clearly offside when he stroked Gareth Bale's low cross home from close range. Martinez called it a "terrible decision" by the linesman to not flag for the infringement.
"I cannot explain it, there was no-one in the linesman's vision and it is hard to understand how it went against us. It was a key moment in the game" ranted Martinez.
