Tottenham could welcome back Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe for tomorrow’s visit of Newcastle United.
Much of the focus this week has been on the link between Harry Redknapp and the now vacant England manager’s position, but the Spurs boss will have his full focus on three points at White Hart Lane.
Lennon and Defoe have been out of action since the FA Cup success over Watford but are now in contention for a return to action.
Ledley King could also feature having trained this morning but Rafael van der Vaart is out with a calf strain while Sandro and Younes Kaboul are struggling.
The Magpies have been one of the surprise packages this season and presently sit fifth in the Premier League.
Alan Pardew’s side have won their last two games and will look to make it three in a row, while Spurs will hope to get back to winning ways after Monday’s draw at Anfield.
