OH dear, oh dear.
On the same day they we put in a poor showing against one of the league's worst teams, Moneybags City thump five past their opponents.
That's one goal for each point we are adrift from the Champions League places.
Everything about our performance on Saturday was disjointed and while we fashioned the odd half-chance it was an extremely unedifying spectacle to see such talented footballers look like a bunch of also-rans for 90 minutes.
We've gone from consistent net-botherers to being downright goal-shy, having failed to score in our last three matches.
In the Premier League alone we have taken just three points from a possible 12 and we haven't recorded a win in any competition since our famous 1-0 triumph in the San Siro on February 15.
Top four form this is not.
While our defence remains pretty solid, the way our forward players have failed to make the onion bag ripple of late is very concerning given the amount of talent on display.
With eight games left, catching one of the prancing, wads-of-cash-waving, blue jersey-wearing teams in the two places above us is by no means an impossibility but with each squandered chance the likelihood of that happening gets ever smaller.
Tomorrow night we face a team which has won more European Cups than any other in the the history of the game as delve even deeper into the uncharted territory of continental competition.
Gareth Bale faces a race to regain fitness in time for the match against Real Madrid, but to be honest I'd almost rather he didn't play.
Given the lad's persistent injury worries, I'd much prefer it if he was wrapped in cotton wool for another few days and allowed to become 100% match-ready ahead of next Saturday's clash at home to Stoke.
I'm a realist, and I'd rather have him totally fit and focussed on helping us string together a few wins in the league than chasing the incredibly unlikely dream of fending off all-comers and nabbing the biggest prize of them all.
Does that make me a bad fan? Probably. Is that going to change my mind? I really doubt it.
