Jason Manford has revealed he is already thinking of retirement.
The 28-year-old funnyman, who will host Comedy Rocks on ITV1 on March 26, is planning to leave the world of stand-up after his upcoming mammoth nine-month UK tour now that he's the proud dad of twin girls.
"I love fatherhood - it is the best thing I've ever done; being away from home, that never gets any easier," he said.
"My girls are seven months old, so by the time the tour finishes, they'll be 18 months coming to two years. It'd be nice to spend the next four to five years at home really, taking them to school, doing that sort of thing."
Jason added: "I'll probably leave stand-up to be honest; I'll stop doing it for a while and start writing, hopefully do more presenting and acting."
The Manchester comedian is already eyeing up the prospect of expanding his brood.
"I just wish I'd done it sooner now. But I'm only 28 so I've got plenty of time," he said.
:: Comedy Rocks will be shown on ITV1 on March 26 at 9pm. Jason Manford's I'm Turning Into My Dad tour kicks off in Stoke on Wednesday July 14 and ends in Manchester on Saturday April 23 2011. Visit www.jasonmanford.com for info.
