Fire teams are investigating after a blaze at a house in Brixton on Sunday left one man dead.
Four crews from Brixton, Clapham and Peckham fire stations attended the fire in Barrington Road on the Loughborough Estate at about 2pm and had it under control by 3.40pm.
They found a man inside the maisonette, which is on the seventh and eighth floors of the building, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by crews from London’s Air Ambulance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
