Schools in the borough have earnt praise from a Government minister and an MP for their recent league table performance.
Schools Minister David Laws congratulated schools including Hornsey School for Girls, Woodside High School and St Thomas More Catholic School for being among the top in the country in performance tables released last month.
The minister, who wrote to each of the schools, was joined in his remarks by Hornsey and Wood Green MP Lynne Featherstone.
She said: “This is really great news for the headteachers, teachers, other staff and parents at these schools. They have all worked tremendously hard to ensure our children have the best start in life.
“It’s also great news for the young people who have benefited from their teachers’ continuous effort to go the extra mile.
“They will be very well prepared for what lies ahead.”
