A 35-year-old man is in a life threatening condition after he suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by a bus.

Police were called to the collision in Seven Sisters Road, Tottenham, at the junction with Manchester Road at 3.21pm on Monday, August 5.

London's Air Ambulance, paramedics in cars and an ambulance crew were also sent to the scene.

The 35-year-old pedestrian was taken to the Royal London Hospital, in Whitechapel, by ambulance where he remains in a life threatening condition.

No arrests have been made so far but officers from Haringey Police are investigating and enquiries are ongoing.

Jim Cassins, of Hermitage Road, witnesses the aftermath of the collision.

He said: “There were police and ambulance staff everywhere and they closed the road for at least three hours.

“I didn’t see the man being hit but there was quite a lot of blood on the road so we guessed he was badly injured."
