Around 20 companies showcased 500 apprenticeship opportunities at a jobs fair for young people.

The event, which was organised by the MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, Lynne Featherstone, and Jobcentre Plus took place at the Civic Centre in Wood Green on Wednesday, August 14.

Exhibitors included Barclays, the National Apprenticeship Service, London Apprenticeship Company, and Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Free workshops to give people advice with their applications were held and the Ms Featherstone and Government apprenticeship ambassador Gordon Birtwistle MP both gave speeches.
