Students from a school in Wood Green raised almost £1,000 to help refugees in Syria.
Pupils at Heartlands School, in Station Road, donated the money to the Human Appeal, a charity which fights poverty, on Friday, December 20.
The schoolchildren organised an evening of food, music, poetry and speeches on December 11, to raise the funds.
More than 100 people attended the event and the £930 will be used to provide refugees from Syria with supplies to survive the winter.
Sammera Ali, from the charity, thanked the children and staff at the school for their donation when she collected the cheque.
