A library will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War at a special screening of a classic film about the conflict.
Hornsey Library, in Haringey Park, will show Jean Renoir's La Grande Illusion, made in 1937, on Thursday, April 3.
The film stars Jean Gabin, Pierre Fresnay and Eric von Stroheim and it about the “futility of war and the ever present hope for peace”.
It will be screened from 7pm and 9pm.
