Haringey Police promise to tackle anti-social behaviour in Boundary Road in Wood Green

Haringey Police have promised to take action against anti-social behaviour on a street plagued by yobs for the past ten years.

Neighbours in Boundary Road, Wood Green, claim they have had to put up with people drinking alcohol, smoking drugs in the street and making noise throughout the night.

They have repeatedly complained to both the police and Haringey Borough Council but claim little has been done.

However Police Sergeant Stephen Johnston-Keay, of the West Green Safer Neighbourhood Police Team, said he is trying to find a solution to the problem.

He said: "My team are aware of the anti-social behaviour issues in the Boundary Road area. We are working with the local authority to address resident's concerns.

"We understand the misery that anti-social behaviour can cause to the community and we will continue to work with our borough partners to formulate a long term solution to this issue."

Haringey Council said it was investigating the complaints and would not tolerate anti-social behaviour in the borough.

This is complete BS. The source of the complaint for this story are the most anti-social family on the road. There is no alcohol or drug taking in the street, that is a complete fabrication. There is a slight issue with noise, but it's quite minor and the complainants were previously the noisiest house in the area themselves so their objections are pathetic. They have just tried to use the police, council and now the media to continue trying to bully their way around and boss their little stretch of road.
