Four out of five people say volunteering reduces stress

Volunteering boosts employability, self-esteem and health, according to a new report published yesterday by Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to mark Volunteers’ Week.

Four in five people said that they believed volunteering has had a positive effect on their health, according to CAB’s research.

In 2013, 52 volunteers gave up their time in Haringey CAB, helping over 4,000 of people.
