A man arrested in Tottenham after a hit-and-run crash pleaded guilty in court this morning.
Lee Smith, 23, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving with no insurance and failing to stop after a road collision in Highbury Corner Magistrates Court.
Police were chasing a black Ford Focus on Monday when it hit a woman, aged 27, near the junction of Shepherd's Hill and the A1 Archway Road.
The Focus did not stop, and the woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
She remains there receiving treatment for head and leg injuries. Her condition is serious but not believed to be life-threatening.
Mr Smith remains in custody and will appear at Wood Green Crown Court on a date to be set.
