Beware bogus callers, say police
Police are warning people to be aware of bogus callers after a series of robberies.
Distraction burglars posing as employees of a water company recently stole money from a pensioner in Wood Green after entering his house and asking him to turn the taps on in the bathroom.
Detective Inspector Jackie Garcia said anyone who receives suspicious callers should contact the police immediately.
