Police have launched an appeal for information after a "suspicious" blaze at a Tottenham factory.
Fire broke out at Archway Sheet Metal Works in Paxton Road, Tottenham early this morning, and police and firefighters were called shortly before 5.15am.
The business has been in a long-running dispute with Tottenham Hotspur and Haringey Borough Council over a compulsory purchase order forcing it to move to make way for a new stadium in High Road.
A worker at the firm told the Tottenham Independent that firefighters had found two empty petrol cans inside the building.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman refused to confirm this, but police have said the fire is being treated as suspicious "at this early stage".
The fire is now out and an investigation has been launched. No arrests have been made. Paxton Road remains closed.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
