Politicians from all the main parties will verbally battle it out at a school as the election race heats up.

The debate being held at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, in Coburg Road will feature MP for Hornsey & Wood Green Lynne Featherstone and her Labour rival Catherine West.

Also on the panel will be Gordon Peters of the Green Party, Clive Morrison of UKIP and Conservative candidate Suhail Rahuja.

The talk is being chaired by Sir Brendan Barber, Trustee of Mountview and Chair of conciliation service Acas and former General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC).

Pupils from the academy, many of whom will be first time voters come May, will get a chance to quiz the Parliamentary hopefuls with education and arts funding bound to be a hot topic.

The hustings will take place on Tuesday March 31 at the schools studio theatre the Karamel Club in Coburg Road, Wood Green from 6pm.
