A dedicated superhighway will soon be linking Haringey cyclists directly to the city of London.

Transport for London will begin construction of Superhighway 1 from White Hart Lane to Liverpool Street on Monday as part of their Road Modernisation Plan.

The first phase of work will begin on Tottenham High Road with roads expected to be busier than usual and motorists are being advised to avoid the area at peak times.

Cycle lanes will stay in place or be provided where possible, although temporary closures may occur at times.

Access to Tube and Rail stations will not be affected by the works but entrances may change at times.

Buses passing through the area may be subject to delays, be diverted, or stop short of their normal destination.
