A CANNABIS factory growing up to 150 plants was shut down by police yesterday.

Officers raided the property in Fountayne Road, Tottenham, at 11.40am and found three rooms full of the class B drug.

The growers were using an illegal electricity supply, which was cut off.

Sergeant Iain Williams, of Tottenham Green Safer Neighbourhoods team said: "As a result of this operation these drugs will be destroyed, which means that they will not be circulated on our streets."

No arrests were made but a police investigation is underway.
