A MAN who was killed after smashing into the central reservation on the North Circular Road has been named.

He was married father-of-three Amer Feroze of Summerhill Road, Southgate.

Mr Feroze was alone in a black Fiat Ulysses and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened around 400 yards west of the junction with Bounds Green Road, at 7pm on April 29.

A post mortem held at Finchley mortuary on Friday gave the cause of death as head and chest injuries.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned at Hornsey Coroners Court until November 24.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.

A spokesman said: "It is not believed at this stage that any other vehicle was involved. The Fiat collided with the central reservation."

The Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton Traffic Garage are dealing with the case.

Anyone who can assist police with their enquiries should contact the witness line on 020 8998 5519.

Mr Feroze was in his 40s and had been living in Britain for 20 years.
