A SMOKER who carelessly tossed his cigarette butt outside a Green Lanes social club has been fined £100.
Peter Panayitou, of Gladstone Avenue, Wood Green, refused to pay an initial fine following the incident in October 2009 when challenged by the authorities.
But Haringey Council pursued that matter in court and Panayitou was ordered to pay a £100 fine, £200 in court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Panayitou appeared at Tottenham Magistrates Court on April 26.
