Independent survey shows public support for regeneration of Ally Pally
The future development of Alexandra Palace has been given the thumbs up according to a public survey commissioned by the charitable trust which runs the park.
Following a six-week public consultation earlier this year the Alexandra Park & Palace Charitable Trust have announced more than 85 per cent of people supported their plans to regenerate the park.
More than 2,000 people took part in the independent survey with plans to upgrade the main event halls ranked as the most important followed by the opening of the Victorian Theatre and old BBC studios to the public.
Repairs to the building will be made this autumn and the trust’s next step will be to secure financial support to make further improvements to the site.
The Ally Pally trust hopes to get money from a variety of different sources including public, private and lottery sources.
