Teenager charged over attempted murder in Stroud Green


AN UNEMPLOYED teenager has been charged with attempted murder in a Stroud Green road.

Brian Gardiner, 18, of Sturge Avenue, east London, an is accused of stabbing a 39-year-old man in Stapleton Hall Road in the early hours of Friday morning, on November 13.

Police were called to the scene, near the junction with Lancaster Road, following reports of a man suffering extensive stab wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital for emergency treatment and remains in critical condition.

Gardiner appeared in custody at Highgate Magistrates, in Bishops Road, yesterday and will make his next court appearance at The Old Bailey on March 2, 2010.
