A MAN has died after falling from Archway Bridge in Highgate earlier this afternoon.
Paramedics were called to the fall from the bridge over Archway Road at around 12.30pm, but the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is closed to traffic northbound between Highgate Hill and Hornsey Lane Bridge, with congestion on Junction Road.
Buses 43, 143 and 263 are being diverted via Highgate Hill while police investigate.
A campaign late last year to install safety nets around the bridge after three deaths in only a few weeks was turned down.
