A Wood Green artist has come up with a novel idea to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Finn Stone, who has a studio called Finn Stone Studios near Alexandra Palace, has created a giant mosaic of the Queen made entirely from thousands of buttons.
The idea for the unusual piece of work came after the 41-year-old artist visited a factory in Winchmore Hill which had previously been used to manufacture buttons.
The artist, who is currently in the process of buying the property, was given 20,000 buttons to allow him to embark on his unusual project.
He used 8,963 buttons of 15 different types to create the piece, which took six and a half weeks to complete.
He said: "I have been looking for a property to buy and we came across this old button factory which had closed down and when we went to see it it was full of buttons.
“I have unsurprisingly never done something like this before but I think it turned out to be a gobsmacking piece.”
The 200cm by 163cm work, called Pearly Queen, is currently on sale in the Woollff Gallery in Camden for £15,000.
