Tottenham coach and former striker Les Ferdinand has been installed as the early favourite to take over at Swindon Town.
The League One side are on the lookout for a new boss after the departure of Kevin MacDonald and Ferdinand, along with Spurs head of development Tim Sherwood, is among the frontrunners.
Sherwood and Ferdinand are both held in high regard by Tottenham and chairman Daniel Levy is likely to be reluctant to let either of them leave without a fight.
