Tottenham Hotspur will meet Besiktas in the group stages of the Europa League after the Turkish side were knocked out the Champions League by Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino' side will also face Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade and Greek side Asteras Tripolis in the group stages of the Europa League.

Last season Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League in the last 16, losing 5-3 to Portuguese giants Benfica on aggregate.

The White Hart Lane outfit have never met either Partizan or Asteras but did face Besiktas in the 2006 UEFA Cup.

Besiktas were knocked out of the Champions League play-offs by Spurs' north London rivals, Arsenal, going down 1-0 over two legs.
