Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Queens Park Rangers' highly-rated striker Charlie Austin, who took the Premier League by storm last season.
According to the Daily Express, Spurs have already registered their interest in the forward with QPR and would be willing to match their hefty £15 million evaluation of the striker.
If true the deal could be completed quickly as the combination of relegation and a huge wage bill has left Rangers needing to sell their highest earners in an attempt to meet Financial Fair Play.
With Emmanuel Adebayor looking likely to leave for Aston Villa, Austin, who scored 18 Premier League goals last season, would be an exciting addition to Spurs’ dwindling strike force.
